Trail Work

Big Job Complete!

Saturday, 10/1/2016 a group of 9 headed to Bear Swamp to clear the old Ganey Rd to be used for the new trail to the Colonial Lodge.  We bough every tool imaginable for this task, we didn’t know what we were getting into!  Great work to Dave Samons, Andy Wargo, Luke Upton, Tony Lema, Steve Brown, Paul Schwarting, Keith Fox, Mike Debagio, and Aaron Burnham for the hard work to reopen this trail.  The 3/4 mile section took over 5 hours to clear with 9 people, GREAT WORK GUYS!  PICTURES beforeafter

A job well done!

Monday, a group of guys successfully re-decked a 40 foot long bridge that was in desperate need of work.  Before this work was complete, the bridge was not usable so  THANK YOU to Tom Meyers, Mike Porter, Roland Porter, Roland Beck, Jed Dove, Dave Samons, Tony Lema, Bob Vincent, and Steve Brown for braving the cold temperatures and volunteering over 5 hours of their day for the club!

We always need volunteers. Trail work happens throughout the year. Please look for email announcements for upcoming trail work and come out and support the club.
